Co Founder and Managing Partner in Gaia Real Estate, a Real Estate Investment company, Private Equity Fund and Property Management focused on distressed properties, based in NYC. Gaia has 45 professionals and managed hundreds of assets to hundreds of investors in Tri State area.
Founder and Joint CEO of the Tamir Fishman Group since its foundation in 1996 until
January 2009 when he stepped down from CEO position in order to co found Gaia R.E.
Danny remains one of the controlling shareholders and board member of Tamir Fishman.
Danny developed TF from infancy to $6 Billion assets under management, 180 employees
And over 60,000 clients Investment house. Representative and partner in Israel of RBC
Capital Markets.
Danny has more than 20 year’s extensive experience in general management, investment
Banking, private equity, venture capital, real estate and asset management.
Danny has managed, overseen and invested in dozens of transactions totaling billions of
Dollars, including public offerings on the NASDAQ, European and Tel Aviv Stock
Exchanges, deals, mergers & acquisitions and private offerings. He is one of the founders
of the Eucalyptus Venture Capital Fund, Tamir Fishman II Venture Fund, DFJ Tamir-
Fishman Venture Fund and co-founder and partner of Tamir Fishman Real Estate Fund.
He also serves as a board and investment committee member of the funds.
Danny invested along his career in few tens of startup companies many of them went public on NASDAQ or sold to multinational companies.
In the past he served as Executive Vice President of Y.L.R. Capital Markets Group and
CEO of Y.L.R. Investment Management. In that position, he established and managed
Private equity funds (Primavera, Charterhouse/Y.L.R.), invested in technology, consumer,
Retail and life sciences companies, and represented Y.L.R. on the boards of the companies.
Danny was also engaged in investment banking activities locally and internationally.
Previously, Danny was co-head of the privatization unit of the Israeli government, leading
Privatization processes of large government companies. In this capacity, he represented
The government on boards and committees of many such companies including Israel’s Oil refineries , Shikon Ve pitoach – Israel’s largest development company , Amidar – Israel’s largest housing company , Shekem , Arim , Afridar and many others. Prior to this, Danny served as the Real Estate Representative of this same government unit, serving on boards
of real estate, construction and infrastructure companies, as well as investment and finance
Committees, evaluating projects and lands for sale.
Danny earned a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the
Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Among other activities, he volunteers his services as
Chairman of the Advisory Board of “Our Children”, a not-for-profit organization that
Assists the Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel.
Danny is married with 4 kids and lives in Tel Aviv and part time in NY. |
