Ken Woolley
Managing Partner

Ken has over 40 years of experience owning, managing, and developing billions of dollars of real estate investments throughout the United States in both the private and public sectors. He served as CEO and is currently Chairman and Founder of Extra Space Storage Inc., (NYSE: EXR), the second largest REIT in the U.S. for self-storage. He is also the former Chairman of Nevada West Development (and its subsidiary WestCorp Management Group ("WestCorp")), which he founded.

Mr. Woolley earned a B.A. in Physics from Brigham Young University, an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Ph.D. from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Between 1978 and 1998, Mr. Woolley served as an Associate Professor of Business at Brigham Young University.

Danny Fishman
Managing Partner

Danny has more than 25 years of extensive international experience in Real Estate investment & management, private equity and venture capital, investment banking and asset management. Danny co-founded GAIA at 2009. Previously he founded and was CO-CEO of Tamir Fishman, an Investment bank and asset management company with $ billions assets under management.  He has held board positions with numerous government housing, development, and real estate companies and is the former co-head of the Israeli government’s privatization unit.

Mr. Fishman earned a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Amir Yerushalmi
Co-Founder

Amir has over 18 years real estate experience and transacted over $3 billion worth of real estate transactions in the U.S. He co-founded GAIA at the end of 2008.  Prior to founding GAIA, Amir founded Vision Real Estate Group, a New York based real estate investment and property managementcompany. Mr. Yerushalmi served as its President and CEO until merging its property management arm with GAIA.  He is also the Co-Founder and a board member of Vision India Real Estate.

Mr. Yerushalmi earned a B.A. with distinction from Pace University and an M.B.A. from both Columbia University and London Business School.

David Kusy
Partner & Managing Director, Acquisitions

David oversees the firm’s acquisition efforts by sourcing, evaluating, and closing new investment opportunities for the firm. He is also responsible for GAIA’s due diligence and transactional execution on new assets, as well as managing the firm’s dispositions.

Mr. Kusy holds a B.A. in Economics and Government from Connecticut College, a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and is a CFA charterholder.

Manan Shukla
Partner & Chief Financial Officer

With over 20 years of finance and accounting experience, Manan is credentialed to ensure that GAIA’s accounting, financial reporting, financial planning, and tax and treasury functions comply to and exceed industry best practices. Mr. Shukla received his M.B.A in Financial Management from Pace University.

Mark Okrent
Head of Asset Management

Mark’s primary responsibility is to maximize the value of GAIA’s national multifamily investment platform. He began his real estate career as an investment analyst with JPMorgan Real Estate and transitioned to asset management. Prior to GAIA, Mark oversaw the Eastern Division of LivCor, LLC (a portfolio company of The Blackstone Group) multifamily assets, which included 81 investment properties and represented approximately $3.5 billion in assets under management.

Mark received his Bachelor’s Degree from Lehigh University and his Masters of Science in Real Estate with a concentration in strategic real estate management from New York University.

Yvonne Sun
Senior Vice President of Asset Management

Yvonne is responsible for managing the commercial real estate within GAIA portfolio. She brings over 10 years of asset management experience with diverse asset types including office, retail, industrial and multifamily. Yvonne started her career in Prologis as an asset manager and acquisition associate. Prior to joining GAIA, Yvonne was Head of Asset Management with Cofinance, a European real estate company with a diverse value-added portfolio, and worked for Tritec Real Estate, a regional developer.

Yvonne has a B.A. in Political Science from University of Toronto and M.S. in Real Estate Development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Daniel Knobloch
VP of Asset Management & Investor Relations

Daniel’s roles with GAIA involve the performance of detailed financial analysis and modeling, detailed cash flow projections and market analysis and reviewing financial and operational reporting to evaluate asset performance. Daniel’s role also includes investor relations and the compilation of comprehensive operational reports.

Mr. Knobloch earned his B.S in Business Administration (International Business & Economics) from Drexel University, Philadelphia.

KYLE SHAW
Associate Director of Asset Management

Kyle has over 10 years of multifamily real estate experience, spanning numerous aspects of the industry. He started out as an operational financial analyst, held a cash management/treasury position, and has worked as an operational/investment financial analyst for several multifamily developers on projects throughout the US. Kyle is well versed in multiple asset classes including conventional market rate and student housing.

Kyle earned a B.B.A. degree from Baylor University in Finance and Marketing. His responsibilities at GAIA include, but are not limited to, investor reporting, market analysis, revenue maximization, portfolio cost savings, and general oversight.

Grace Lam
Controller

With over 10 years experience as a Controller at Citipost and having worked for over 7 years Senior Finance Managerat Urban American LLC, Grace is well credentialed to be GAIA’s Controller.

Grace is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Bernard M Baruch College.

Bahar Eratac
Human Resources Manager & Payroll Accountant

Bahar has more than 20 years of professional experience in all aspects of accounting, business operation and project management. During her business career, both here and previously in Turkey, she has successfully completed major internal projects for financial reporting, cash management and automation of payroll processing and HR benefit administration. With GAIA Since May 2015, Bahar has focused on automating and modernizing payroll and HR systems and procedures to meet all requirements for an expanding company.

She earned a BS in Accounting at the City University of New York and also holds a degree from the University of Black Sea in Business Administration and Management plus additional credits from the Institute of Turkish Insurance.

Sherzod Ibragimov
Associate, Acquisitions

Sherzod is responsible for implementation of the firm's acquisitions efforts through evaluation, due diligence and closing of new investments. He began his career as a part of Cushman & Wakefield's Investment Banking group assisting corporations and institutions in maximizing real estate value through the use of structured financial products.

Sherzod holds a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University.

Adam Romanov
Associate, Acquisitions

Adam is responsible for evaluating, conducting due diligence, and closing new investment opportunities. His prior experience is with Oxford Properties Group in Toronto, Canada, where he was an Analyst in the Development division, responsible for investigating, underwriting, and analyzing development projects that included multi-family residential, hotel, office, retail, industrial, and mixed use.

He has a B.S. degree from Trinity College of the University of Toronto and an M.S. in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.

Noam Nathaniel
Regional Manager of New York

Noam is responsible for overseeing Gaia’s New York and New Jersey condos portfolio and its staff. Noam’s role include overseeing Gaia’s onsite staff, all leasing activity, rent optimization, all aspects of maintenance, coordinate between the sale teams, assisting in overseeing construction onsite properties and reporting to asset management and investors.

Noam holds a B.S in Business Administration and Marketing from Montclair State University.

Jared Ingerman
Associate, Asset Management

Jared’s primary responsibilities with GAIA include preparing detailed investor reports, analyzing market trends and property metrics, assisting in budget and business plan creation, and analyzing various value-add initiatives for the firm’s northeast portfolio. He began his career at First Capital Real Estate Advisors, where he was responsible for underwriting and due diligence of potential multifamily, hospitality, office, and industrial acquisitions, in addition to asset management and dispositions of the company’s non-traded REIT portfolio.

Jared has a B.S. in Finance, with a concentration in Real Estate Finance, from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Lynn Qin
Senior Accountant & Analyst, CPA

Lynn joined Gaia in April 2015 as an junior accountant. Prior to Gaia, Lynn worked as an accountant in a property management and investment company in NY.
Ms. Lynn holds a B.A in Accounting from Winthrop University, a M.S in Finance from Purdue University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
