Danny has more than 25 years of extensive international experience in Real Estate investment & management, private equity and venture capital, investment banking and asset management. Danny co-founded GAIA at 2009. Previously he founded and was CO-CEO of Tamir Fishman, an Investment bank and asset management company with $ billions assets under management. He has held board positions with numerous government housing, development, and real estate companies and is the former co-head of the Israeli government’s privatization unit.
Mr. Fishman earned a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Ken has over 40 years of experience owning, managing, and developing billions of dollars of real estate investments throughout the United States in both the private and public sectors. He served as CEO and is currently Chairman and Founder of Extra Space Storage Inc., (NYSE: EXR), the second largest REIT in the U.S. for self-storage. He is also the former Chairman of Nevada West Development (and its subsidiary WestCorp Management Group ("WestCorp"), which he founded.
Mr. Woolley earned a B.A. in Physics from Brigham Young University, an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Ph.D. from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Between 1978 and 1998, Mr. Woolley served as an Associate Professor of Business at Brigham Young University.
Amir has over 18 years real estate experience and transacted over $3 billion worth of real estate transactions in the U.S. He co-founded GAIA at the end of 2008. Prior to founding GAIA, Amir founded Vision Real Estate Group, a New York based real estate investment and property managementcompany. Mr. Yerushalmi served as its President and CEO until merging its property management arm with GAIA. He is also the Co-Founder and a board member of Vision India Real Estate.
Mr. Yerushalmi earned a B.A. with distinction from Pace University and an M.B.A. from both Columbia University and London Business School.
GAIA Real Estate
David oversees the firm’s acquisition efforts by sourcing, evaluating, and closing new investment opportunities for the firm. He is also responsible for GAIA’s due diligence and transactional execution on new assets, as well as managing the firm’s dispositions.
Mr. Kusy holds a B.A. in Economics and Government from Connecticut College, a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and is a CFA charterholder.
Yvonne is responsible for managing the commercial real estate within GAIA portfolio. She brings over 10 years of asset management experience with diverse asset types including office, retail, industrial and multifamily. Yvonne started her career in Prologis as an asset manager and acquisition associate. Prior to joining GAIA, Yvonne was Head of Asset Management with Cofinance, a European real estate company with a diverse value-added portfolio, and worked for Tritec Real Estate, a regional developer.
Yvonne has a B.A. in Political Science from University of Toronto and M.S. in Real Estate Development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
With over 10 years experience as a Controller at Citipost and having worked for over 7 years as Senior Finance Manager at Urban American LLC, Grace is well credentialed to be GAIA’s Controller.
Grace is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Bernard M Baruch College.
Mor is responsible for overseeing and managing the construction within GAIA portfolio. Mor brings construction management knowledge and experience along with project cost estimation expertise of mixed-use residential developments in NYC. Her role with GAIA involves the preparation and management of CAPEX projects, development of comprehensive financial analysis of project’s hard and soft cost, supervision of projects execution, and collaboration with the project team and consultants.
Mor holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ben-Gurion University and M.Sc. in Business Operations, Management and Entrepreneurship from Brown University
Kate provides GAIA assets across the country with the skills necessary to implement a community driven living experience through wellness classes, social events and connecting the residents to each other in an authentic way. Kate’s primary responsibilities include the implementation and execution of Finch Living for all GAIA assets. With over a decade of customer service experience Kate has developed the skill set to change and adapt to each unique role, believing firmly in creating meaningful connections with those around her.
Elena is responsible for asset management and investor/lender reporting for GAIA’s New York & New Jersey condo as well as office portfolio. Her prior experience is with Castle Lanterra Properties where she was an Investment and Asset Management Associate responsible for evaluating, underwriting, analyzing, and conducting due diligence for new investment opportunities across the United State, as well as managing Denver, CO and Atlanta, GA multifamily portfolio.
Elena has a B.A. degree in Sociology from Hunter College, CUNY and a M.S. in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.
Sherzod is responsible for implementation of the firm's acquisitions efforts through evaluation, due diligence and closing of new investments. He began his career as a part of Cushman & Wakefield's Investment Banking group assisting corporations and institutions in maximizing real estate value through the use of structured financial products.
Sherzod holds a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University.
Josh is responsible for assisting in the firm’s acquisitions efforts through evaluating, conducting due diligence, and closing new investments. He began his career as an Investment Analyst at Merit Hill Capital, where he was responsible for underwriting property and portfolio-level investments as well as assisting in asset management and investor reporting. Previously, Josh has held internships at PGIM Real Estate and Kimco Realty.
Josh holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Joey’s primary responsibilities will be assisting with the asset management and investor/lender reporting of GAIA’s national (non-NYC) multifamily portfolio. His prior experience is with MD Sass Investor Services in NYC, where he was an Analyst in the Equities division, responsible for trading and analyzing new potential equity investments. He also has experience in mixed-use and multifamily investments and operations.
He has a B.S. degree from Binghamton University and will be graduating with a M.S. in Real Estate Development from New York University in 2019.
Lynn joined GAIA in April 2015 as an junior accountant. Prior to GAIA, Lynn worked as an accountant in a property management and investment company in NY.
Ms. Lynn holds a B.A in Accounting from Winthrop University, a M.S in Finance from Purdue University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Aisha manages individual condos in Manhattan and is responsible for owner and tenant communication, rent rolls, liaising with vendors, repairs/maintenance, and collections. She has varied experience across several industries and has most recently worked in an accounting and sales administration capacity.
Aisha’s strong attention to detail and organizational skills along with dedicated customer service ensures all processes are done in an efficient and timely manner.
She holds a B.A. in English Literature from Brooklyn College.
As the Accounts Payable Coordinator at GAIA Real Estate, Pat plays a crucial role in the Accounting Department of the company. Her primary responsibilities include completing requisitions for satisfactory payment approval, reviewing invoices, and processing payments to clients in a timely manner. Pat has had over 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable at a property management company, prior to joining GAIA. Moreover, she is adept in systems such as Nexus and Payscan.
As the Account Payable/Receivable for Individual Condo Unit, Nannette plays a critical role in the accounting department for the ICM portfolio. Nannette’s primary responsibilities include handling rent collection and ensuring accounts payable/receivable is met in a timely manner. Nannette is fluent is systems such as Nexus, Yardi and Payscan.
Prior to her years at GAIA Real Estate Nannette worked for six years at Douglas Elliman as accounts payable/receivable specialist and two years at Compass Rock Real Estate. Nanette holds a Bachelors in Business Management as well as an associate’s degree.
Alison is a native New Yorker and has been employed with GAIA since 2013 as the Office Manager and executive assistant to the CEO. Apart from ensuring the day to day operations of the office are seamlessly handled Alison provides executive support to the Managing Partners as well as administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the office. Alison is responsible for confidential and time sensitive material, she is Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures due to her extensive experience coming from working in the Real Estate Industry for over a decade, in both the administrative field and property management.
