Danny has more than 25 years of extensive international experience in real estate investment, private equity and venture capital, investment banking and asset management. Danny co-founded GAIA in 2009. He previously founded and was Co-CEO of Tamir Fishman, an Investment bank and asset management company with billions in assets under management. He has held board positions with numerous government housing, development, and real estate investment companies and is the former co-head of the Israeli government’s privatization unit.
Mr. Fishman earned a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Ken has over 40 years of experience developing, owning, and managing billions of dollars of real estate assets throughout the United States - in both the private and public sectors. He previously served as CEO, and is currently the Chairman and Founder of Extra Space Storage Inc. (NYSE: EXR), the second largest self-storage REIT in the US. He is also the former Chairman of Nevada West Development and its subsidiary WestCorp Management Group ("WestCorp"), which he founded.
Mr. Woolley earned a B.A. in Physics from Brigham Young University, an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Ph.D. from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Between 1978 and 1998, Mr. Woolley served as an Associate Professor of Business at Brigham Young University.
David oversees the firm’s acquisitions efforts by sourcing, evaluating, and closing new investment opportunities. He is also responsible for GAIA’s due diligence and transaction execution of new assets as well as managing the firm’s dispositions.
Mr. Kusy holds a B.A. in Economics and Government from Connecticut College, a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and is a CFA charterholder.
Yvonne is responsible for the asset management of GAIA's New York and New Jersey portfolio. Prior to joining GAIA, she worked for ten years in an asset management capacity on various property types. Yvonne started her career at Prologis as an Acquisitions and Asset Management Associate, and then worked for Tritec Real Estate, a regional developer. Yvonne was also Head of Asset Management at Cofinance, a European real estate company with a diverse value-add portfolio.
Yvonne holds a B.A. in Political Science from University of Toronto and a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Grace is responsible for the planning, directing and coordinating of all accounting operational functions at GAIA, including coordinating and prepping internal and external financial statements and providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
Prior to her time at GAIA Grace had over ten years of experience as Controller at Citipost and having worked for over seven years as Senior Finance Manager at Urban American LLC, Grace is well credentialed to be GAIA’s Controller.
Grace is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Bernard M Baruch College.
Mor is responsible for overseeing construction within GAIA portfolio. Mor brings construction management experience along with project cost estimation expertise of mixed-use residential developments in NYC. Her role with GAIA involves the preparation and management of capital projects, financial analysis of project hard and soft cost, supervision of project execution, and collaboration with the project team and consultants.
Mor holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Ben-Gurion University and M.S. in Business Operations, Management and Entrepreneurship from Brown University.
Nancy is responsible for the investor relations program at GAIA. Previously Nancy served as the Director of Investor Relations and Deputy COO at Stabilis Capital, a $1.7B investment firm specializing in debt secured by commercial real estate and other income producing assets. During her tenure there, she also served as a Director of Business Development, sourcing banking relationships for the firm, and an Asset Manager, managing a variety of value add and turn around assets. Before Stabilis, Nancy was Director of Sales at Massey Knakal (Cushman Wakefield) covering the area of Soho and Chinatown.
Nancy holds a B.A. in Economics and Fine Arts from New York University and an M.B.A from Darden School of Business at UVA.
Taylor is responsible for assisting in the firm's acquisitions efforts by sourcing, underwriting, and closing new investment opportunities. Prior to GAIA, Taylor worked as a Development Associate for Hanover Company, a national, luxury multi-family developer, and as an Investment Analyst for Vanbarton Group, a NYC-based real estate private equity firm focused on value-add multifamily and office assets in core US markets.
Taylor graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and Mathematics from University of Kentucky and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Elena is responsible for asset management and investor/lender reporting for GAIA’s condominium and office portfolio in New York and New Jersey. She was previously employed by Castle Lanterra Properties where she was an Investment and Asset Management Associate.
Elena has a B.A. in Sociology from Hunter College, CUNY and a M.S. in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.
James is part of the Asset Management team. Prior to GAIA, James worked as a Portfolio Analyst at GID, a national real estate developer and owner-operated focused in multifamily. His responsibilities included asset management, asset valuation, and investor reporting. Previously, James held positions at Boston Capital and Horvath & Tremblay.
James graduated with a B.A. in Finance with minor in Economics from the Girard School of Business at Merrimack College.
Lynn joined GAIA in April 2015 as an junior accountant. Prior to GAIA, Lynn worked as an accountant for a property management and investment company in New York.
Ms. Lynn holds a B.A. in Accounting from Winthrop University, a M.S. in Finance from Purdue University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Josh is responsible for assisting in the firm’s acquisitions efforts through evaluating, conducting due diligence, and closing new investments. He began his career as an Investment Analyst at Merit Hill Capital, where he was responsible for underwriting property and portfolio-level investments as well as assisting in asset management and investor reporting. Previously, Josh has held internships at PGIM Real Estate and Kimco Realty.
Josh holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Cathy manages GAIA's NYC portfolio assets. She is responsible for all owner/tenant communication, repair and maintenance requests, and operations within the property management dept. Prior to joining GAIA, Cathy has worked for 20 years managing residential / commercial and some retail properties throughout NYC real estate market.
Patrick currently manages the company’s ICM assets. He is responsible for all owner/tenant communication, repair and maintenance requests, and lease management. Prior to joining the company, Patrick worked for 10 years managing luxury condominiums in the Manhattan market for individual investors from Japan, Hong Kong, and NYC.
Kate oversees all GAIA marketing efforts, providing GAIA team members across the country with the necessary skills and resources to implement a sustainable community driven living experience through tenant engagement, social events, both on and offline. Kate's primary responsibilities include the implementation and execution of the Finch living platform, management of all digital marketing campaigns across the portfolio and the management of the multifamily-hospitality program through Airbnb. Kate graduated with a hospitality diploma from the Institute of Culinary Education.
Shamicka is the Assistant Property Manager and leasing administrator for GAIA. Shamicka has worked in property management for six years. Prior to joining the GAIA team she worked for non-profit and commercial real estate companies. Shamicka holds an Associates degree from Monroe College majoring in Computer Information Systems.
As the Accounts Payable Coordinator at GAIA Real Estate, Pat plays a crucial role in the Accounting Department of the company. Her primary responsibilities include completing requisitions for satisfactory payment approval, reviewing invoices, and processing payments to clients in a timely manner. Prior to joining GAIA, Pat had over seven years of experience in Accounts Payable at a property management company. Moreover, she is adept in systems such as Nexus and Payscan.
As the Accounts Payable/Receivable Coordinator for individual condo units, Nannette plays a critical role in the accounting department for the ICM portfolio. Nannette’s primary responsibilities include handling rent collection and ensuring accounts payable/receivable is met in a timely manner. Nannette is fluent is systems such as Nexus, Yardi, and Payscan.
Prior to GAIA, Nannette worked for six years at Douglas Elliman as a accounts payable/receivable specialist and two years at Compass Rock Real Estate. Nanette holds a Bachelors in Business Management as well as an Associate’s degree.
As the Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist at GAIA Real Estate, Irina plays an important role in the Accounting Department of the company. Her responsibilities include reviewing invoices and processing payment for clients in a timely manner, as well as handling rent collections for multiple portfolio properties. Prior to joining GAIA, Irina spent over six years in the Real Estate industry, most recently at a Real Estate management and investment firm. Irina is fluent in systems such as Nexus and MRI, she is a native Spanish speaker and holds a Bachelors in Economics.
Alison joined GAIA in 2013 as the Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO. She is responsible for maintaining a seamless, efficient work environment and provides executive support to the firm's Partners. Alison is well versed in the real estate industry and has previous experience in property management.
